Gemma Arenas World Champion

Gemma Arenas conquers the Ultra Pirineu and the World Series.

Gemma Arenas was doubly crowned in Ultra Pirineu. Not only did she enter first at the finish line with a time of 15 hours, 20 minutes and 34 seconds, but she also claimed the Skyrunner World Series title. Arenas, who first came into contact with trail running in 2014.

Arenas arrived with options to win the overall World Series after his win in Madeira, his sixth place in Transvulcania and fourth place in the High Trail Vanoise (France). Allen's four-point lead was made up for with victory at Ultra Pirineu. The American, despite the second place, was third in the World Cup, behind the French Anne-Lise Rousset, winner in High Trail Vanoise and second in Transvulcania and The Rut.
